Composition
Launched in 2015 as a disrupted floral built around the scentless cistus flower. Labdanum, sandalwood and vetiver meet pink pepper, plum liqueur and incense, with no defined top, middle or base. A floral-oriental paradox without flowers.
To me this smells like a temple courtyard at dusk in December — incense smoke rolling off a brass dhuna, and someone has spilled plum liqueur on the cold stone. Pink pepper snaps at the edges like a chill in the air, and underneath there's labdanum's dark resinous sweetness, sandalwood oil on old wood, and vetiver roots still damp from the earth. It is not soft and it is not trying to be liked. It is the smell of ritual. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
