Composition
Présence d'une Femme, launched in 2002 and created by Michel Almairac, is an oriental vanilla Eau de Toilette for women. Pepper and mandarin orange open over orchid and cyclamen, drying down to Brazilian rosewood, mahogany, sandalwood, patchouli and vanilla flower.
This smells like a woman's dressing table in a house made of dark wood. Pepper and mandarin snap bright over the surface, and then the orchid and cyclamen bloom — cool, watery florals — while underneath, Brazilian rosewood and mahogany glow like polished furniture. Sandalwood, patchouli and vanilla flower settle into something warm and quietly sensual, like cashmere against skin. It's an oriental, but a gentle one — the presence of a woman, not her entrance. Elegant without trying, warm without shouting. Beginner-friendly.
