Legend Eau de Parfum, launched in 2020, is a richer reinterpretation of the 2011 original by perfumer Olivier Pescheux. It opens with violet leaves and bergamot over a floral heart of jasmine and magnolia, settling into oakmoss and leather. The iconic flacon reveals a radiant black inner lacquering with gold detailing on the Montblanc emblem.
Scent story
To me this smells like a man who has his life quietly together. Violet leaf and bergamot give a crisp green-citrus handshake — cool, assured, no wasted motion. Then the woods arrive: smooth, polished, like the inside of a well-kept study, with jasmine and magnolia lending a soft floral light through the window. The oakmoss and leather in the base are the substance — green, a little dark, the suggestion of a leather briefcase that has seen real work. Confident without shouting. The rare compliment-giver that actually earns them. Beginner-friendly.
