Lalique Pour Homme Lion is the lion-head flacon edition of Lalique's 1997 masculine classic, also composed by Maurice Roucel. Lavender, rosemary and bright citrus open over an iris, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley and cedar heart. The drydown is a barbershop blend of oakmoss, sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli and amber.
Scent story
This smells like a proper old-school barbershop — the kind with marble counters and bad jokes. Lavender and rosemary snap aromatic over a burst of citrus: grapefruit, bergamot, pomelo, mandarin, all fizzing like tonic. Iris, jasmine and lily-of-the-valley powder the heart like talc, cedar giving it backbone, before oakmoss, sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli and amber dry it down to warm, distinguished comfort. The lion on the bottle isn't roaring — he's purring. Classic without feeling dated: the rare heritage scent that still earns its place. Beginner-friendly.
