Composition
Emblem Absolu, launched in 2017, is the golden third chapter of the Emblem line for men. Pear, mandarin and cardamom open over a heart of lavender, pink pepper, fruits and honey, drying down to vetiver, patchouli and moss. It comes in a golden version of the star-shaped bottle.
To me this smells like a Diwali evening in a house that has everything — pear and mandarin bright as marigold garlands at the door, cardamom drifting out of the kitchen with the mithai. Lavender and pink pepper give it a polished, almost tailored feel, honeyed fruits in the middle like the center of a laddu, and vetiver, patchouli and moss ground it in something dark and green, like the garden after the diyas are lit. Golden, warm, celebratory — a scent for making an entrance. Beginner-friendly.
