Composition
Released in 2013 in the house's signature pebble bottle. Incense and black pepper open onto leather, wood notes and dill, over birch, vetiver and olibanum. Dark, smoky and uncompromising.
To me this smells like the inside of an old leather jacket left too close to a bonfire — birch smoke soaked into the hide, incense curling off the collar. The black pepper hits first like a slammed door, and then the leather takes over: dark, animal, unapologetic. There is something almost heretical in the heart — dill, of all things, green and pickled-bright against the olibanum resin, like a temple offering gone feral. Vetiver drags it all down to earth, damp and rooty, the smell of soil after the fire trucks leave. It does not want to be liked. It wants to be remembered. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
