Composition
Part of the 2015 Expedition trio, inspired by an Antarctic night under the aurora. Lime, coriander, grapefruit, lemon and mint create a cold, zesty opening; gentiana, leather, lavender and geranium form the heart. Vetiver, coumarin and amberwood give a dry, woody finish.
To me this smells like a midnight drive with the windows down in the hills — lime and grapefruit bright and electric in the first breath, mint and lemon cold as night air. Then something interesting happens: a whisper of leather, dark and smooth, like the car's seats, lavender and geranium pressed against it. Vetiver and amberwood at the base are all warm skin and dry grass. It is fresh but not innocent — the leather gives it a midnight edge. Beginner-friendly.
