Composition
A 2007 feminine flanker presented in the tall conical L'Eau d'Issey bottle. Orange, mandarin and lemon open over a heart of mimosa and rose. Musk, woodsy notes, amber and vanilla round out the powdery-sweet base.
The name means a drop on a petal, and that's exactly what it smells like. Orange, mandarin and lemon sparkle for a moment — a single dewdrop catching light — and then mimosa and rose open, powdery and golden and impossibly delicate, like the inside of a flower pressed in a book. Musk and woodsy notes and amber dry it down to almost nothing, just warm skin and a memory of flowers. It's the quietest perfume in this batch. You don't wear it for others; you wear it for yourself, on days when softness is the whole point. Beginner-friendly.
