Composition
A 2008 feminine edition in the L'Eau d'Issey family. Orange, mandarin orange and lemon open into a floral heart of lotus and rose. Musk, amber and vanilla settle into the soft base.
To me this smells like rain falling on a lotus pond at first light. Orange, mandarin and lemon shimmer across the surface like the sun hitting water, then lotus rises — cool, aquatic, impossibly serene — with rose petals floating somewhere in the middle distance. It's the smell of stillness, of a world holding its breath. Musk and amber warm the base like sun on stone as the morning arrives. Delicate, luminous, and completely calming — a deep breath in perfume form. Beginner-friendly.
