Composition
A 2014 limited edition from the Ode to Nature collection putting Japanese yuzu at center stage. Sparkling yuzu, citron and mandarin orange open over spicy ginger and nutmeg, with a clean woody base of vetiver and cedar. Bright, zesty and transparently fresh.
To me this is cutting into a yuzu at dawn in the Himalayan foothills — that electric citrus burst, sharper and more aromatic than any lemon, with citron and mandarin amplifying the brightness. Ginger and nutmeg warm it from underneath like the first sip of adrak chai. Vetiver and cedar in the base keep it crisp and green, like the smell of cold mountain air on your jacket. It is freshness with a backbone — never soapy, never thin. I reach for it on days when I need to feel sharp, clean, and quietly confident. Beginner-friendly.
