A 2019 Eau de Parfum Intense celebrating the strength of wood, presented in a flacon tinted like forest mist with a wooden cap. Grapefruit, cardamom and elemi open over a heart of apricot, ambroxan, Virginian cedar and sandalwood, settling into Haitian vetiver, patchouli and woody notes. Warm, assured and distinctly woody.
Scent story
To me this smells like a carpenter's workshop with the windows open to an orchard — grapefruit and cardamom bright in the first breath, elemi resinous and green like fresh sap. Then apricot, impossibly juicy, softens into ambroxan's warm mineral glow, cedar and sandalwood stacked around it like cut planks. Vetiver and patchouli at the base are all dry earth and dark timber. It is wood with a smile — serious craftsmanship, zero gloom. The apricot is the surprise, a flash of sweetness in all that timber. Beginner-friendly.
