Composition
The 2016 summer limited edition by Alberto Morillas, illustrated by artist Michelle McKinney. Grapefruit, kiwi and coriander open over pineapple and nutmeg, on a woody base of cypress and vetiver. Zesty, exotic and refreshing.
To me this smells like a poolside afternoon that refuses to end — grapefruit and kiwi sparkling in the first breath, cold and green, pineapple juice sweet at the edges. Coriander and nutmeg give it a dry, herbal crackle, like the smell of a cocktail rimmed with spice. Cypress and vetiver at the base are cool shade under hot sun — dark leaves, clean water. It is pure refreshment, the olfactory equivalent of diving in. Nutmeg's dry warmth hums underneath, like sun on a wooden deck. Beginner-friendly.
