Composition
The 2013 annual summer limited edition by Alberto Morillas, on an exotic-fruit theme with a kiwi motif on the flacon. Grapefruit, kiwi and coriander open over pineapple and nutmeg, on a base of cypress and vetiver. Juicy, tropical and carefree.
To me this smells like a beach bar in Goa at 4pm — grapefruit and kiwi squeezed over ice, coriander green like crushed leaves, pineapple grilled on the edge of the glass, nutmeg dusted on top. It is tropical without being childish. The base is the walk back along the sand: vetiver and cypress, woody and dry, like sun-warmed driftwood. A limited summer fling of a scent — bright, fleeting, and perfectly remembered. Nutmeg dusts the fruit like spice on a beach cocktail. Beginner-friendly.
