Composition
A 2019 limited edition from the Shades of Paradise collection by Aurélien Guichard. Grapefruit, lime, ginger and cardamom fizz over a marine heart of sea notes, cypress, geranium and galbanum, anchored by ambroxan, cedar, musk and vetiver. Clean, watery and uplifting.
To me this smells like jumping off a boat into a lagoon — grapefruit and lime like cold spray, ginger and cardamom warm on the skin before you hit the water. Then the sea notes: salt and cypress and geranium and galbanum, green and mineral, like diving through a forest of kelp. The base is sun-dried skin: ambroxan like warm stone, cedar, musk, vetiver. It is the aquatic genre done with real style — green, salty, alive. Summer in a bottle, no sunscreen required. Beginner-friendly.
