Composition
Amethyst Eclat by Lalique is a 2014 Floral Fruity fragrance for women, composed by Nathalie Lorson as a brighter successor to Amethyst (2007). It keeps the berry-musk skeleton but spotlights peony, magnolia and Bulgarian rose over violet wood and blackberry. A lighter, more luminous take on the original.
If Amethyst is a velvet evening, Eclat is its sunlit morning. The opening is sparkling — raspberry, blackcurrant and crisp nashi pear, fresh and juicy. The heart blooms into peony, rose and magnolia, soft and romantic rather than heavy, and the base is gentle musk with violet and a whisper of blackberry. Perfect for Indian spring and summer days, college or office wear — light, pretty, and inoffensive in the best way. Extremely beginner-friendly; choose this over the original if you prefer fresh florals to rich berries. Longevity is modest, so carry a decant.
