L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Intense (2007) is a woody-spicy Eau de Toilette for men by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. Yuzu, bergamot and sweet orange open into nutmeg, lotus, cinnamon, cardamom and saffron, settling on incense, papyrus, ambergris and amber. The darker, deeper take on the aquatic classic.
Scent story
Intense takes the famous aquatic freshness of L'Eau d'Issey and pulls it into the shadows — yuzu and bergamot still sparkle at the opening, but cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg soon warm the heart into something exotic and spiced. The incense-and-ambergris base is smoky, deep and contemplative. A refined evening scent for Indian winters. Very approachable for beginners stepping up from fresh aquatics.
