Composition
A 2005 masculine classic by Stephanie Bakouche. Violet leaf, grapefruit and bergamot open into lavender, cardamom, thyme and ginger, over vanilla, musk and patchouli. Green, aromatic and effortlessly elegant.
To me this is the scent of a man who irons his own shirts — violet leaf and grapefruit like starch and citrus in a fresh collar, bergamot sharp as a pressed cuff. Then the classic heart arrives: lavender calm, cardamom and thyme and ginger like a spice drawer in an old French kitchen, perfectly ordered. The dry-down is the whole point: vanilla softening the edges, musk like warm flannel, patchouli giving it that tailored darkness. It is barbershop elegance with a mischievous grin — civilized to the bone, but the name winks. Timeless, easy, and quietly commanding. Beginner-friendly.
