Composition
The 2022 fresh-floral chapter by Morillas and Dora Baghriche. Green almond, tea leaf and mandarin open over jasmine sambac, gardenia and Damask rose, with white musk and cedar. Natural, radiant and modern.
To me this smells like morning chai on a balcony overlooking a garden — tea leaf and mandarin bright and astringent, green almond adding a soft, milky greenness. Jasmine sambac and gardenia bloom heavy and white in the heart, Damask rose giving it a dewy, just-cut feel. White musk and cedar dry it down clean, like cotton sheets on a line. Radiant, natural, modern — a floral that breathes. Effortlessly pretty without trying too hard. Morillas and Baghriche made it modern and radiant — the kind of floral that gets complimented by strangers. Beginner-friendly.
