Composition
Alberto Morillas' 2005 sensual floral oriental. Citruses, lemon and bergamot open over mimosa, almond milk, lily-of-the-valley, violet, freesia and jasmine, with musk, amber, styrax and cedar. Sun-kissed and powdery.
To me this smells like a Goan afternoon in May, when the light turns to honey and everything slows down. Citrus and bergamot open bright as a cold drink, then mimosa and almond milk drift through — powdery, creamy, sun-warmed — with lily-of-the-valley and jasmine scattered like petals. Amber and styrax glow underneath like warm skin. It is sensual the way summer itself is sensual: lazy, golden, and impossible to hurry. Mimosa dusts everything with a powdery gold, like sunlight you can smell. Beginner-friendly.
