Composition
Released in 2013, composed by Richard Ibanez. Saffron, pink pepper and nutmeg open into rose and leather, over incense, sandalwood, labdanum and vanilla. A refined, incense-tinged leather.
To me this smells like walking into a master saddler's workshop in Rajasthan at noon. The leather hits first — rich, animal, sun-warmed hides stacked in a corner — and saffron threads through it like chai brewing on a small stove nearby. Pink pepper and nutmeg crackle over the top, and rose petals lie scattered on the workbench, their sweetness softening the rawness. Incense smoke drifts in from a shrine across the lane, and sandalwood dust coats everything. This is luxury with calloused hands — beautiful, but it demands respect. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
