Composition
A 2002 chypre-leaning composition - the name means she who conquers. Bay leaf, pink pepper and vetiver open into coriander, over oakmoss and musk. Green, spicy and triumphant.
A walk through a herb garden after rain. Bay leaf crushed between my fingers, pink pepper snapping on the tongue of the air, coriander green and sharp, and then that deep green-earthiness of vetiver roots and oakmoss — like wet stone and forest floor. Musk just holds it all close to the skin. It is green without being sour, spicy without being hot. The smell of someone who grows their own herbs. The coriander is the bright green spark — herbal, almost citrusy — cutting through the mossy depth like sun through leaves. It is green the way a forest is green: complete. Beginner-friendly.
