Composition
Launched in 2004. Amber opens into opium flowers, over a bed of spices. Warm, floral-ambery and enveloping - a soft, powdery take on the house's amber theme.
To me this smells like a room full of amber and strange beautiful flowers — opium flowers, heavy-headed and narcotic, blooming in warm golden light while spices drift through like dust motes. The amber is the star: thick, honeyed, glowing from within. It never gets dark or difficult; the sweetness keeps it plush and welcoming, like being wrapped in a velvet curtain in a sunlit room. As it dries down it turns skin-warm and drowsy, the spices softening into the amber until you can't tell where one ends and the other begins. Pure golden-hour comfort. Beginner-friendly.
