Composition
Launched in 2015, named as a nod to Magritte's The Treachery of Images. Aldehydes and orange open into honey and geranium, over musk, patchouli and amber. Surreal, honeyed and musky.
To me this smells like morning light through a jar of wild honey on a wooden windowsill — aldehydes giving that clean, sunlit sparkle over orange, then the honey arrives, thick and amber-dark, with geranium's green warmth keeping it from cloying. It is the quietest kind of luxury. The base is skin-like and close: musk like a warm collar, patchouli softened to a whisper, amber humming underneath. Nothing shouts; everything lingers. It feels like a secret you wear under your shirt, the kind of scent someone only discovers when they're standing very close. Beginner-friendly.
