Composition
A 2001 amber composition built around 114 facets, per the house. Nutmeg and thyme open into sandalwood, patchouli, rose, geranium, cedar and vetiver, settling on amber, vanilla, benzoin, tonka bean and musk. Rich, resinous and enveloping.
This is the smell of my grandmother's wooden spice almari opened after years — nutmeg and thyme first, dry and crackling, then drawer after drawer of sandalwood, cedar, and patchouli, all of it warmed by amber until the whole thing glows. Rose and geranium drift through like dried petals someone tucked between the shelves. The base is pure comfort: vanilla, benzoin, tonka, and musk melting together into something like warm skin after a day in the sun. It never shouts; it just wraps around you, balsamic and golden. On cold Delhi winter nights this feels like wearing a shawl woven out of light. Beginner-friendly.
