Composition
Tea for Two is a unisex eau de toilette from L'Artisan Parfumeur, launched in 2000 and composed by Olivia Giacobetti. Gentian, neroli and bergamot open into ginger, cinnamon, lapsang souchong tea and green anise. The base blends honey, vanilla and guaiac wood, giving the smoky tea a warm, gourmand finish.
To me this is a rainy afternoon in a Darjeeling tea room — gentian and neroli bright as the china, then lapsang souchong, smoky as a pine fire, with ginger and cinnamon warming the pot. Honey and vanilla sweeten the cup, guaiac wood the old table underneath. The green anise is sweet and herbal, like a liqueur, and the gentian at the top is bitter roots — the tea is smoky, but the cup is balanced. Olivia Giacobetti's smoky-tea masterpiece: gentle smoke, soft honey, endless comfort. It smells like being read to. Beginner-friendly.
