Composition
Michel Almairac's stolen rose: damask rose and plum tangled in damp, earthy patchouli like a rose garden after a thunderstorm. Dark, gothic and feral — a rose for people who think they dislike rose.
To me this smells like the first bergamot of the season opening on the balcony, with plum drifting in from somewhere down the street. Slowly Damask rose and patchouli unfold into view, rounded and full as late-afternoon light. And the Damask rose never quite leaves, rich without shouting. Hours later it rests on amber, sandalwood and musk — warm and close to the skin, the part that stays with you. Some perfumes decorate you; this one feels like a room you never want to leave. Beginner-friendly — a safe, happy blind pick.
