Composition
The original 2011 Madly Kenzo! A flamboyant floral gourmand by Aurélien Guichard. Pink pepper and African orange flower open over incense, heliotrope and rose, with a deep base of Virginia cedar, musk and vanilla. Sweet, powdery and unapologetically feminine.
To me this smells like a wedding that got gloriously out of hand. Pink pepper sparks at the top — fizzy, celebratory — and the African orange flower blooms big and indolic, marigolds and mogra piled on every surface. Incense smoke drifts through it all, temple-thick, while heliotrope powders everything with an almond-vanilla softness. The Virginia cedar and musk base keeps it from floating away entirely. It is loud, joyful, unapologetically extra — the scent equivalent of dancing with your shoes off at 2am. Beginner-friendly.
