To me this smells like 1987 in a blue-and-red octagon — violet, plum, black currant, marigold and anise opening bold, powdery, and unforgettable. Tiare flower, tuberose, ylang-ylang, orange blossom, heliotrope and orris bloom in a heady tropical heart. Vanilla, sandalwood, benzoin, musk and incense melt it all into warm, powdery decadence. It is one of the decade's defining scents: big, sweet, and gloriously unapologetic. Beginner-friendly — a powdery-oriental classic, bold but beautiful.
