Composition
Olivier Cresp's 1998 pearl-in-a-sphere creation celebrating serenity and peace. Tender powdery top notes of white musk, peony, freesia, green notes, peach and plum open onto a white-flower heart of lily, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose, finishing with an illuminating base of coffee, vanilla, sandalwood, coriander, incense, tonka bean and cedar.
To me this smells like a pearl glowing in soft light — white musk, peony, freesia and green notes opening tender and serene, peach and plum adding a gentle sweetness. Lily, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose bloom in the heart like a quiet garden at dawn, green grass fresh underfoot. Then coffee, vanilla, sandalwood, incense and tonka bean illuminate the base, warm and surprising. It is serenity, bottled: Olivier Cresp's 1998 ode to peace. Beginner-friendly — soft, musky, and deeply calming.
