Composition
A 2014 limited summer edition of L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Sport by Alberto Morillas, part of the Ode to Nature collection. Bittersweet pink grapefruit and bergamot meet an icy heart of frozen mint and geranium, over vetiver and white woods. Crisp, green and bracingly fresh.
To me this smells like diving into a frozen lake on a dare — shocking, then exhilarating. Pink grapefruit and bergamot open bittersweet and sparkling, and then the mint hits: not the polite kind, but frozen mint, glacial, the kind that makes your whole face go numb in the best way, with geranium lending a green, almost rosy coolness. Vetiver and white woods dry it down to something clean and composed, like towelling off and feeling completely, electrically alive. It is the coldest, crispest kind of fresh — a reset button for the senses, perfect for the days when the heat is winning. Beginner-friendly.
