Composition
The 2012 summer edition of L'Eau d'Issey for women in the leaf-printed bottle. Water notes, pear and rose open over peony and carnation. The base rests on osmanthus and woodsy notes.
To me this smells like wading into a lotus pond on the hottest day of the year. Water notes open cool and shimmering, pear juicy and sun-warmed, rose floating on top like petals scattered across the surface. It is the smell of relief — of finding water when you needed it most. Peony and carnation bloom in the heart, soft and powdery, like flowers pressed between the pages of a summer diary, and osmanthus with woodsy notes settles underneath, warm and golden as late-afternoon light through leaves. Weightless, dewy, and completely at ease with itself — summer, bottled, no ice required. Beginner-friendly.
