Composition
A sparkling, powdery twist on the original by Kurkdjian and Maïa Lernout. Pear and bergamot lead into peony, almond blossom and rose, settling into musky orris, violet and sandalwood. Lighter and more luminous than the EDP.
To me this smells like a spring garden right after the rain stops. Pear and bergamot sparkle like droplets on leaves, and then the flowers open — peony, almond blossom, rose — soft and dewy, petals still cool to the touch. The dry-down is all powder and comfort: orris, violet, white musk, a whisper of vanilla and sandalwood. It smells like the world's most easygoing optimist — luminous, sparkling, and impossible to take offense at. The almond blossom keeps it from ever turning saccharine — all light, no syrup. Beginner-friendly.
