Composition
Daphné Bugey and Olivier Cresp's 2006 composition evokes an Asian journey with rice steam and white tea. Frangipani, cherry blossom and heliotrope bloom over vanilla, musk, incense and thanaka wood. Powdery, creamy and serene.
This smells like steam rising off a pot of rice in a quiet kitchen, and I mean that as the highest compliment. The rice and white tea opening is soft, milky, almost edible in its calmness — and then frangipani and cherry blossom bloom through it like temple flowers after rain, heliotrope adding a powdery, almond-blossom warmth. Vanilla, musk, and a whisper of incense settle it into skin like a silk sheet, with thanaka wood giving it this creamy, woody depth. Powdery, serene, deeply comforting. It is a hug from someone who doesn't need words. Beginner-friendly.
