Jeu d'Amour is a 2014 Floral Fruity fragrance for women, created by Daphné Bugey and Christophe Raynaud, with French actress Louise Bourgoin as its face. Its name means 'game of love': a bright opening of pomegranate, blood mandarin and tea, a sensual heart of tuberose and freesia, and a soft base of sandalwood and musk. The nude-pink bottle echoes bare skin.
This opens like a glass of chilled pomegranate juice with a twist of blood mandarin — juicy, a little tart, lifted by a whisper of tea that keeps it from ever getting cloying. The heart blooms into tuberose, creamy and heady but tamed by green freesia, so it stays romantic rather than overwhelming. Sandalwood and musk settle it into a soft, milky warmth on skin. It's a lovely spring-summer companion for India: fruity without being childish, floral without being heavy, and it sits beautifully in office air-conditioning. Beginner-friendly and easy to love — though tuberose skeptics should note it's unmistakably present, just politely so.
