Composition
A 2007 fresh aromatic take on the A*Men universe created by Jacques Huclier, the line's coolest and most casual proposition. Nutmeg brings a fresh, invigorating spiciness over a center of earthy patchouli, with woody notes and musk smoothing the drydown. It reads as an icy-cool alternative to the original's gourmand warmth, later reworked as Pure Shot and Pure Energy.
To me this smells like the A*Men DNA dunked in a bucket of ice water. Nutmeg brings a cold, almost mentholated spice — like the air inside a freezer — and then earthy patchouli rises up, familiar but chilled, with woods and musk smoothing everything into something clean and wearable. It's the casual Friday version of the line: no gourmand heaviness, just cool confidence. Honestly the most easygoing Mugler for men. If the original A*Men is a leather jacket, this is a white t-shirt. Beginner-friendly.
