Composition
Launched in May 2018 by perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault, Alien Man is the masculine pillar of the Alien line. Electric vibrations of beech and dill open the scent, sensual vibrations of leather and cashmere form the heart, and a magnetic vibration of white amber anchors the base. The futuristic geometric bottle comes in deep purple with silver details.
To me this smells like a pine forest that learned to wear a leather jacket. The opening is strange and electric — dill, anise, mint, beech wood, thyme — green and herbal in a way that genuinely surprises you, like a smell you can't quite place. Then it settles into something warmer and more familiar: leather, cashmere wood, white amber, and a whisper of vanilla. The weirdness smooths out into a soft, ambery woodsiness that feels modern and confident. Beginner-friendly.
