Composition
Angel Liqueur de Parfum is a 2013 limited edition that fuses Angel with the world of fine spirits, aged in toasted cherry wood casks. It opens with candied fruits, develops into a honeyed, sweet heart, and settles on patchouli, vanilla, amber and cognac. A smoky, boozy gourmand presented in a 35ml star flacon with an intense blue gradient lacquer.
To me this smells like the inside of a toasted cherry-wood cask in a very old distillery, where candied fruits have been soaking in honey for years. It opens boozy and dark, then patchouli and vanilla roll in thick as smoke, with cognac warming the whole thing from below. This is not a perfume you wear to the office. This is a midnight scent — heavy, resinous, almost edible, the kind of thing that leaves a trail in an elevator long after you have left. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
