Composition
Fleur de Cristal was created for the 150th anniversary of the birth of René Lalique, composed by Raphaël Haury. Calabrian bergamot, pink pepper and sambac jasmine open onto a white floral heart of lily of the valley, stephanotis and solar flowers. Sandalwood, musk and cashmeran form the base.
To me this smells like a greenhouse made of glass — Calabrian bergamot bright on the panes, pink pepper sparking, sambac jasmine blooming hot inside. Lily of the valley and stephanotis are all white petals and clean air, and sandalwood, musk, and cashmeran underneath are the warm stone floor. The solar flowers warm the whole composition like sun through glass, and the stephanotis is waxy white petals — it smells like a wedding bouquet kept in a sunlit room. Lalique in crystal form: luminous, floral, and quietly luxurious, like light through cut glass. Beginner-friendly.
