Composition
Fig Tea is a feminine eau de toilette from Parfums de Nicolaï, launched in 2007 and composed by Patricia de Nicolaï. Osmanthus and orange oil open into jasmine, coriander and davana. Mate, guaiac wood and amber form the base. A warm-weather floral-fruity centered on a fruity tea accord rather than a milky fig.
To me this smells like afternoon tea in a warm garden — not the milky-fig kind, but something stranger and better. Osmanthus and orange oil open like apricot tea poured over ice, jasmine and davana adding a fruity-floral shimmer, coriander giving it an unexpected green snap. Maté, guaiac wood and amber dry it down to something like warm wood and sunlight. Patricia de Nicolaï built a tea accord here that's all fruit and air — refreshing, original, and quietly addictive.
