Composition
Eau de Lalique is the house's first unisex fragrance, composed by Emilie Coppermann. Mandarin, cardamom, citron, bergamot and dill open the composition, followed by a heart of freesia, hibiscus and cinnamon. Amyris wood, sandalwood, benzoin, white musk and guaiac wood form the base.
To me this smells like a spice market at opening time — mandarin, citron and bergamot bright as morning, cardamom and a whisper of dill giving it a green, almost culinary edge. Freesia and hibiscus bloom light and tropical in the middle, cinnamon warming it like chai steam, and the base of amyris, sandalwood, benzoin, guaiac and musk is smooth as polished wood. The house's first unisex scent, and it wears like shared sunlight. Fresh, warm, quietly exotic. Coppermann's unisex debut wears like a well-traveled linen shirt — easy everywhere. Beginner-friendly.
