Composition
Roja Dove's oriental for women, the feminine counterpart to Danger Pour Homme. Lemon verbena, bergamot, mandarin orange, grapefruit and lemon open into ylang-ylang, gardenia, violet, peach, jasmine and May rose, over sandalwood, vanilla, orris root, tonka bean, cloves, musk and patchouli.
To me this is a grand ballroom at golden hour. Lemon verbena and citruses glitter at the opening, almost electric, like the first chord of an orchestra tuning up, then ylang-ylang, gardenia, violet, peach, jasmine and May rose bloom in waves, lush and unapologetically feminine. Sandalwood, vanilla, orris, tonka and cloves in the base make it warm, powdery, enveloping, the cloves tickling through like a warm spice wink in all that powder. It is Roja's idea of dangerous, which is to say, dangerously beautiful, not dangerous to wear. Opulent, floral, and welcoming. Beginner-friendly.
