Composition
Angel La Part des Anges is a luxurious 2007 limited edition, an extrait reworking of Angel enriched with whisky notes. Presented in a 10ml pure perfume flacon, it blends candied fruits, coumarin, caramel, patchouli and chocolate with amber, whisky and vanilla. A smooth-edged, creamy and dreamy take on the Angel masterpiece with a boozy warmth.
To me this is the angels' share itself — a whisky cellar where the barrels have been breathing for decades. Candied fruit and caramel rise off hot oak, chocolate and coumarin thick in the air, a pour of whisky glowing amber in the glass. The patchouli underneath is damp earth and old wood, darkening everything. This is Angel as a nightcap: dense, boozy, unapologetically rich. One spray fills a room, and it does not ask permission.
