Composition
A lighter, more modern take on the original Angel from 1992, presented in a comet-shaped flacon. The composition opens with a fresh wave of pink pepper and bergamot, replaced by a wave of praline and dewy red berries. The dry-down is a voluptuous wave of patchouli, vanilla, Virginia cedar and white musk.
To me this smells like Angel decided to go out for brunch instead of a nightclub. Pink pepper and bergamot crackle first — bright, almost fizzy — and then the red berries and praline come in like a dessert trolley rolling past: sweet, dewy, impossible to ignore. The patchouli and vanilla dry-down is softer here, rounded out with cedar and clean musk, like the original's wild edges sanded smooth. It's still unmistakably Angel, just in daylight. If the original ever scared you, this is your second chance. Beginner-friendly.
