Composition
A 2019 limited edition of A*Men, reworked by Jacques Huclier into a fresher, smoother and more sensual take on the original. A vibrant dimension of green bergamot and cedar meets an addictive mocaccino accord with balsam fir, for a woody fresh gourmand character. The rubber-clad star bottle gets a bright turquoise color block.
To me this smells like the first hour inside a good coffee roastery — green bergamot bright as morning, a shot of mocaccino steaming on the counter, and cedar shelves stacked with fresh beans. The balsam fir comes in like cold air through an open door, keeping the sweetness honest and clean. The mocaccino is sweet but never heavy, more like the smell of an espresso machine than the drink, and the balsam fir keeps the whole thing crisp as a cold morning. It is A*Men scrubbed of its tar-and-chocolate darkness, turned into something smooth you could wear to a morning meeting. Coffee, woods, and daylight. Beginner-friendly.
