Composition
A 2010 summer limited edition of A*Men, created by Jacques Huclier, evoking a summer storm — orage d'été — where the sky catches fire. Zesty mandarin and spicy notes intertwine in the opening, a green-coffee accord forms the heart, and patchouli woods give warmth and sensuality to the drydown. The A*Men bottle is graced with an electric-blue hue.
To me this smells like a summer storm rolling in over hot earth. Zesty mandarin and spice crackle at the opening — the sky catching fire, exactly as the name promises — and then green coffee and woody notes move in like rain clouds gathering. The patchouli in the base grounds it, earthy and dark, the smell of wet soil after the first drops fall. It is A*Men on a beach holiday: still intense, but with its shirt unbuttoned and its feet in the sand. Beginner-friendly.
