Composition
A 2014 edition of Alien created by Dominique Ropion and Veronique Nyberg, described as a sunny, glittery, optimistic take on the original. Tunisian neroli, bergamot and tea open the scent, tiare flower forms the floral heart, and white amber grounds the base. It arrives as an Eau de Toilette in a transparent, gem-like flacon with golden details.
To me this smells like sunshine bottled by someone who actually understands sunshine. Tunisian neroli, bergamot, tea, lemon, lime, orange — a whole citrus orchestra tuning up — sparkling over tiare flower and orange blossom in the heart. The heliotrope adds a soft almond-powder glow, and the white amber, cashmeran and vanilla drydown keeps it warm without ever getting heavy. It is the most optimistic thing Mugler ever made, and it wears like a good mood you chose on purpose. Beginner-friendly.
