Composition
Alien Aqua Chic is the 2013 limited summer edition of Alien, an aquatic floral. It opens with a burst of green and aquatic freshness over jasmine sambac, and settles into a clean white-amber base. A lighter, breezier take on the Alien signature designed for warm weather.
To me this smells like stepping into a waterfall-fed pool in the hills when the rest of the world is melting in May heat. Green and aquatic notes crash over you first, cold and mineral, the way water feels when it closes over your head. Then jasmine sambac rises through it — white flowers blooming at the edge of the water, luminous instead of heavy. The dry-down is clean white amber, like sun-warmed skin after you've toweled off. It's the Alien signature stripped of its mystery and rebuilt for summer: breezy, bright, and easy as a white kurta. Beginner-friendly.
