Inspired by China's imperial palaces and the dragon, a contrast of fire and ice by Alienor Massenet. Fresh bergamot and orange open with clove into red tea, maté and orange blossom, settling into vanilla, benzoin and labdanum.
Scent story
To me this smells like a kahwa house in Srinagar in December — lemon and bergamot bright over the steam, clove spiking the air like it does in every Kashmiri kitchen. It's the smell of being handed something warm when you're freezing. Red tea and mate brew dark and earthy underneath, orange blossom adding a floral glow, and then it melts into vanilla, benzoin, and labdanum — thick, golden, resinous-sweet, like the bottom of the samovar. Citrus, tea, spice, vanilla. Cozy the way a pashmina is cozy. The easiest winter scent I know. Beginner-friendly.
