Composition
Pulp is Byredo's 2008 floral-fruity — ripe fruit, bottled. Bergamot, black currant and cardamom open into fig, red apple and tiare flower, over cedarwood, peach flower and praline. An international fruit basket: ripe, sweet and photoreal — a dramatic, juicy savor of sun-drenched orchards.
To me this is a juice bar at full blast — black currant and bergamot crushed into the glass, cardamom spiking it strange, then fig, red apple, and tiare flower, ripe and tropical. Praline and peach blossom underneath are the sugar rim, cedar the wooden counter. The tiare flower is creamy white petals in all that juice, and the peach blossom is soft pink — fruit with flowers tucked into it like a garnish. Byredo's fruit bomb: juicy, sweet, and completely unpretentious. It smells like summer with the volume all the way up. Beginner-friendly.
