Composition
The first release of the Ephemeral Infusion Collection, launched in March 2009 as a limited edition by Daniela Andrier. Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger evokes memories of orange blossom 'like footprints in sand': neroli and mandarin orange open sparkling, orange blossom, jasmine and tuberose form the heart, and powdery notes with serenolide settle the base.
To me this smells like morning in an orange grove in Sicily — or at least the morning I wish I had in Sicily. Neroli and mandarin fizz off the skin first, bright and soapy-clean, and then the orange blossom unfurls with jasmine and tuberose, powdery like freshly laundered linen left out to dry in the sun. It never gets heavy or syrupy; the powdery notes keep it airy, like footprints in warm sand rather than anything you could hold. Pure, luminous, uncomplicated joy in a bottle. Beginner-friendly.
